Descriptions: Production
flaws, such as glaze skips and
dents that are
glazed over, are
mentioned if they are plainly visible
when the piece is displayed
normally. Minor glaze irregularities
(such as pinpricks of lost glaze)
are common in older pieces
and are not always mentioned. Descriptions include all
post-production glaze flakes, glaze wear,
chips, cracks, hairlines,
and restorations, which I search for diligently.
If you would like a
color photo, I would be
glad to mail one.
Payment: Payment for all purchases should be by
check or
money
order. I do not accept credit cards.
Sales Tax: DC residents without sales tax numbers are the
only
buyers who must pay sales tax on shipped items.
Shipping and Insurance: I will
double box your purchase and
ship to you
by UPS with appropriate insurance coverage. Let me
know if you prefer US Postal Service. Since the cost for each
delivery
varies, I normally discuss charges at the time of sale.
If a piece arrives
in damaged condition (it has happened to me only
once in
twenty years, but the
risk is always
there), please retain all
packing material
and contact me immediately.
Returns: Any piece that you buy from me may be returned
for any
reason for a full refund of the purchase price, so long as
you notify me
within one week of the time you receive it that you wish to send it
back,
and it arrives
in the same condition it was in when I shipped it.
Notification Before Return Shipments: Since I travel a
good
deal and do not have an office assistant, you should not ship any
piece back to me until you have confirmed that I will be available
to accept delivery. Leave a message in my e-mail or on my telephone
answering machine, and I will contact you as soon possible to
schedule
a shipment date.
Shipping and Insurance on Returns: You will be responsible
for all
shipping and insurance charges on returns. You should
insure
any return
shipment for the amount of your purchase
price since you
will bear the
risk of loss if the returned piece
does not reach me in the
same condition
it was in when I
shipped it.
Updates: I will try to keep this web site current, but all items
shown
here
are offered subject to prior sale.
